Application for Canada Student Loan Forgiveness

The application is now available for Canada Student Loan forgiveness for family doctors and nurses.

The application for Canada Student Loan forgiveness for family doctors and nurses who serve in a rural or remote community is now available online at http://www.canlearn.ca/eng/after/forgiveness/index.shtml.

We will be accepting applications as of April 1, 2013, for an initial 12 month period of service in a designated community <http://www.canlearn.ca/eng/main/help/glossary/designated_community.shtml> starting no earlier than April 1, 2012.

The Saskatchewan Chapter wishes to acknowledge Dr. Cal Gutkin, Executive Director and CEO of the CFPC. Over the last sixteen years Dr. Gutkin has contributed immensely to the College and to the enhancement of family medicine across Canada. Dr. Gutkin is retiring and we want to let you know that the Research & Education Foundation of the CFPC is establishing a new award in Dr. Gutkin’s honour.
